In small pinecones, these counts are 5 and 8 spirals in opposite directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this composition, the melodic spirals are created by dividing the octave by the golden angle, which yields a neutral sixth interval. In this arrangement, the interval fluctuates, alternating between a major and a minor sixth.
